A group of homeowners is taking legal action against the Municipality of Anchorage and the Anchorage Assembly for shutting down Assembly meetings to in-person involvement in August following a regional emergency order that limited the size of events due to a rise in COVID-19 cases. The suit looks for an order stopping additional closures to in-person involvement, a declaration that closing down the meetings due to Anchorage Emergency Situation Order 15 was unconstitutional which all action by the Assembly during the "four-week reset" be reversed. The lawsuit also looks for attorneys' costs.
